Historical adult babies (2025)

Before antibiotics were developed using diapers would be very risky. How many of us here have not had a UTI at least once some time in our life? Even if rare, it would be a death sentence in the past.. There are books about potty training in ways where diapers were never even used by time elimination.

I can easily imagine non diaper related infantile behavior tho. But as others have said no one would talk about that. I also agree with people saying children were not coddled in the past, at least in many cultures. Look at how bed wetters were treated and boys who cried.

My grandfather if I recall correctly was claimed to have ran away from home where his dad had him working on a farm at the age of 8 and started working on his own, by 12 he had a good job that he had worked his way up into...

In the past lives were shorter and far harder, children learned hands on as helpers around the house and farm. Risks were taken in ways no one would dare now days. Child death rate was high.

Cultures are also based on knowledge of the past and especially family knowledge. So if you know your grand parents only lived to their 40's and your parents lived to their 50's you don't expect to live to your 90's even tho it ended up that way. So even in recent past of a 100 years ago people lived as if their lives would be short even if they ended up not being so short.

It takes time for culture to change by family and by region. My cousins were coddled more and out of diapers far later than I was(one is nearly a year older than me). They lived many states away from me in a different culture, and their mother was the youngest of the family.

I was trained by the medical book recommendation, and was fully trained at late 2 nearly 3. From what I've seen in my area among normal functioning children and engaged parents that is typical. But that seems to change greatly by region.
Like how most are out of strollers by 2, but in cities it can be later as it can be safer to keep them in a stroller from what I've read.

To give an idea of how fast change is happening something I have seen in past few decades is car seats. My parents didn't have them growing up, so I wasn't in one for as long as others with younger parents. And now days there are enforced laws about it. In the early 2000's those laws were not enforced even tho they did exist.

Also peeing on the side of the road was far more common in the past for children I believe. My parents drove all the time between family, and I would not have been able to make it without road side stops.

If I had to guess what infantile fetish behavior has existed the longest in history I'd say it would likely relate to mothers milk. But that's just a complete guess.
